SADP’s theory of change and action

If you give me a fish, you have fed me for a day. If you teach me to fish, you have fed me until the river is contaminated or the shoreline seized for development. But if you teach me to organize, then whatever the challenge, I can join together with my peers and we will fashion our own solution.

By Ricardo levins Morales

SADP theory of change understanding the need of communities, indigenous people and women.

  • shared visions, shared value of community benefit, promoting their local knowledge, internal cohesion, collective leadership, confidence, critical analysis, equal rights and collaboration;
  • authentic support from international and national NGOs, donors, networks, and supportive governments those understand people empowerment: communities’ perspective, and work collaboratively with communities’ and peoples’ groups in ways that support and are responsive to  the needs and hopes of communities;
  • networking and joined strategy;
  • sustainable livelihoods; and
  • support that cultivates the virtue of people.
