Grant Making and Contracting

Providing grants is a strategy of SADP to inspire the People Accountable Development (PAD) approach where communities are empowered to collectively address their shared issues strategically. Our grant will focus on SADP strategic partners with long -term commitment. Strategic partners must have a shared vision with SADP and implement work on the ground. However, to do this they need financial support with on-going strategic reflection to achieve a common goal.

Grants can take different forms, the main one is a longer-term commitment grant to strategic partners to ensure they can sustain and expand their effectiveness on the ground.  Another form can be a smaller pilot grant to committed groups to give them an opportunity to practice and develop their passion for community empowerment work.  The Grant making process is detailed in SADP Grant Manual.
