Our Commitment to the Environment

To support SADP vision and mission, all SADP staff are committed to contributing to the prevention of social and environmental harm. Therefore, we will:

  • Only use air travel when there is a strategic need for an in-person meeting
  • reduce the use of plastic;
  • not use air-conditioning at the workplace (only in exceptional cases; for meetings with guests in the hot-season);
  • reduce the use of imported products;
  • support the use of authentic local products;
  • reduce the use of wooden furniture;
  • minimize electricity use, electronic products and other office equipment;
  • not support or make businesses which are harmful to the communities we support (for example by buying land, forests or wood or selling those products to communities) so that we do not damage community solidarity and livelihoods;
  • not make/cooperate business with community.
